Northeast Business Group on Health Hosts Health Equity Event
As part of its 3-part series The Northeast Business Group on Health hosted its second event recently. The first employer-focused session "Race, Equity, and Health - Strategies of Using Data to Act" was hosted by K. Andrew Crighton MD, CEO, CEO Roundtable on Cancer. Dr. Crighton shared highlights of Prudential's journey using data.

To best understand its opportunity Prudential explored every dataset available including Medical Claims, Rx Claims, Disability Claims, Workers' Compensation Bills, Health Risk Assessments, Lab Results, On-site Claims, and On-site Fitness Center Visits. Views on Health Equity focused on job level, race, and gender.

A second panel comprised of HR professionals from the NBA and Ralph Lauren also shared Health Equity best practices. According to Cynthia Williamson, Senior Director, Benefits at Ralph Lauren health equity is being implemented everywhere including the retail store level.
